Ringside seating and VIP table seating are also available through the box office. (General admission seats will be sold for $25 on the day of the event).

Said Chet Koerner, President of TKO Boxing Promotions, “We’re very excited to return to York, Pennsylvania and team up with the Sovereign Bank Stadium to once again present a sensational boxing event outdoors for the fight fans in Central Pennsylvania.”

“Last summer’s event at the stadium was a terrific evening and we’ve got another exceptional boxing card planned on Saturday, July 31st.”

“As we did last summer, the ring will be set up in the home plate area with seats available at ringside and also in the stands ensuring terrific sight lines for the fans.”

Headlining “THE BATTLE OF YORK 5” is a ten round featherweight showdown between The Fighting Pride of York, Pennsylvania, Carney “BEEPER” Bowman and Baltimore’s Tyrell “DA SHOW SHOCKER” Samuel.

Last summer, Bowman scored a brutal third round knockout of Delvin Placencia on August 1st at the Sovereign Bank Stadium, TKO Boxing’s first outdoor show in York.

The 27 year old Bowman brings an undefeated record of 14-0-0 with six knockouts into battle against Samuel. Prior to the stoppage of Placencia, Bowman had fought three straight times at the Valencia Ballroom in York, each time drawing huge crowds to his bouts.

The all-action Samuel has been a popular attraction over the last five years in the Baltimore area. Sporting a record of 14-4-1 with six knockouts, 28 year old Samuel has been seeking a fight with longtime rival Bowman since turning professional and welcomes the opportunity for a backyard brawl.

The sensational undercard at ‘THE BATTLE OF YORK 5” will feature numerous local fan favorites and world class prospects including York’s Stevie Weimer 4-0-0 (2KO’s), Johnstown, PA cruiserweight contender Andres “TAYLOR MADE” Taylor, 15-1-1 (6KO’s), top Canadian welterweight prospect Mikael Zewski, 4-0-0 (3KO’s), sensational junior welterweight prospect Joseph Elegele, 8-0-0 (6KO’s) of Melbourne, FL, Detroit middleweight prospect J’Leon Love, 5-0-0 (4KO’s) and veteran Doel Carrasquillo, 12-15-1 (10KO’s) of Lancaster, PA.

Also featured on the undercard will be the highly anticipated pro debut of 18 year old amateur phenom Alantez Fox of Forrestville, Maryland.

Additional information on these bouts and other amateur bouts will be released shortly. Doors will open the day of the event at 4pm. The Sovereign Bank Stadium is located at 5 Brooks Robinson Way in York, Pennsylvania.
