Toney set for clash with Browne in Australia

Former world champion James” Lights Out” Toney (74-7-3, 45 KOs) will arrive in Melbourne, Australia at 9:45am ahead of next Sunday’s clash with Lucas “Big Daddy” Browne (15-0, 14 KOs) over twelve rounds at the Convention & Exhibition Centre , Melbourne, Victoria Australia. Toney is confident of victory, saying “I’m looking forward to coming to Australia where I’ll be fighting Lucas ‘The Clown’ Browne where I’m gonna knock his lights out!” Toney is coming off a five round stoppage of Bobby Gunn in April 2012. Browne coming off a win over Masataka Takehara in March 2013.

On the undercard former heavyweight challenger Kevin “Kingpin” Johnson (28-3-1, 13 KOs) will clash with former football star Solomon Haumona (20-1-2, 18 KOs). Johnson lost to Tyson Fury in 2012 but stopped Australia’s Alex Leapai also in 2012. Haumona is coming off a five round stoppage of Kyotaro Fujimoto in 2012. Promoters are Mick Gatto, Barry Michael and Brian Amateuda.
