Sad news from Wilmington, Delaware, as popular trainer Derrick Hoey was shot and killed while trying to stop an agrument several blocks from his home. Hoey, 41, was the trainer of super welterweight Clarence “Sonny Bono” Taylor. “From now on, you see me in the ring, you’ll see him,” Taylor told the Wilminton News Journal. “My purpose from here on out is to win a championship for both of us.”
