Hong Kong leading promoter Jay Lau of DEF Promotions will promote a big event “WBC Night of Champions” on May 28 at Hall 3D of Convention Towers and Exhibition Center in Hong Kong. The main event will be the WBC Asia Continental title defense between WBC #20 super flyweight Rex Tso and ABCO #6 Wandee Singwancha. This will be a significant fight for the Hong Kong rising star who impressively captured this WBC regional title by defeating former WBA inter-continental and Russian titleholder Timur Shailezov on his eighth professional bout. Experienced Wandee Singwancha (67-16-1, 18 KOs) was a two-time WBC champion, defeating Taiwanese Rocky Lin in 1998 to gain WBC strawweight title and winning an unanimous decision over Filipino Juanito Rubillar in a WBC interim light flyweight championship fight in 2006. He has trained hard and prepared very well to prove that he still stands at the front line of world super flyweight fighters.

In the co-main event, WBC female atomweight champion Momo Koseki (15-2-1,3 KOs) will face former WBC/IFBA title holder Eun-Young Huh (6-1-1) in her eleventh WBC title defense. Also ABCO #7 super lightweight Ekapol Yothinpanawet (13-1, 9 KOs) will fight Filipino Mike Tumbaga for the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council super lightweight title. Additionally, there will be five more undercard bouts taking place at this event.
