IBF/USBA Championship Committee Chairman Lindsey Tucker is among the list of inductees for the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame that will be held at the Venetian hotel, Garfield, New Jersey on November 11, 2009. Tucker who resides in Trenton and graduated from Trenton High school, has been involved in boxing for over thirty years and worked with the New Jersey Athletic Control Board from 1981 to 2002 where he had several titles including Acting Chief Inspector, inspector, judge and timekeeper. He has supervised over forty five IBF world title bouts. Tucker played baseball but never boxed. “I love the sport but never tried it,” he says. “In junior high I played baseball but knew I wasn’t going to be an All American.” But he made a career as a boxing official. In 2007 Tucker received the Jersey Joe Walcott Grateful Acknowledgement for duties served on behalf of the IBF/USBA. Other inductee’s are Kathy Duva, Junior Jones, Benjy Esteves, Buster Drayton, Wayne Hedgepeth, Mario Maldonado, Steve Weisfeld, Paulie Walker (posthumously), Dave Anderson, Nino Del Buono and Darren Maciunski.
