Tyson Fury, who is all set to fight late replacement foe Joey Abell a week today, has taken to Twitter to insist the cut eye he picked up in sparring yesterday will not prevent the fight from going ahead. Fury, sparring with “Fast” Eddie Chambers, picked up a small cut and posted a photo of himself on his Twitter page to show it.
And the unbeaten giant could not resist having a dig at the man he was twice set to fight in David Haye:
“Look I got a cut in sparring yesterday. Should I do a Hayemaker and & pull my next fight? Lol p***y. I’m still fighting.”
Fury will have his first fight in ten months when he rumbles with Abell, and if he emerges victorious he is expected to have a big stadium rematch with Dereck Chisora in the summer. However, how will plans be affected if Fury’s cut re-opens next Saturday?
