Promoter Fernando Beltran said today that you have to give the public what they demand and that means a clash between current WBA flyweight champion Herman “Tyson” Marquez and WBO flyweight champion Brian Viloria. Organizers are aiming for the month of September leaving no time for Marquez to deal with mandatory challenger Juan Carlos Reveco. As a result, Marquez, the “2011 WBA Fighter of the Year,” will give up the WBA belt. Possible dates are September 29 or October 6 in the New Mexico City Arena or the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles, California. Negotiations have already begun with the Viloria team, but first Tyson must defeat Fernando Lumacad in a non-title ten-rounder on July 14 in Culiacan.
