Ex-European light heavyweight champion Thomas Ulrich has been added to the January 10th “Universum Champions Night” card in the boxing hotbed of Magdeburg, Germany. Ulrich (31-4, 21 KOs) will take on unbeaten Armin Dollinger (19-0, 8 KOs) in an eight round cruiserweight bout. It will Ulrich’s first bout since losing his European belt to Yuri Barashian in February 2008. He is trained by Ralf Rocchigiani. Dollinger is coming off a career-best second round TKO of Kai Kurzawa last March. Hightlighting the card are two world title fights. WBO light heavyweight champion Zsolt Erdei (29-0, 17 KOs) defends against the above-mentioned Barashian (25-4, 17 KOs) and WBO super middleweight champion Denis Inkin (34-0, 24 KOs) faces #1 rated Karoly Balzsay (19-0, 14 KOs) in a highly attractive “stall duel” between undefeated fighters.
