Unbeaten heavyweights collide in Hong Kong

By Jeffrey Pamungkas

Former Australian MMA fighter Lucas Browne (13-0, 12 KOs) will face a tough opponent from UK, Richard Towers (14-0, 11 KOs). Both undefeated heavyweight KO artists will collide at Hong Kong Convention Towers and Exhibition Center in Wan Chai, HK, on December 11 in a Commonwealth heavyweight title eliminator with the winner in line to face the current heavyweight Commonwealth champion, David Price of UK.

In the co-feature, local hero Rex Tso (7-0, 4 KOs) will appear in the ring fighting for the ABCO super flyweight title and the opponent shall be announced later.

Ricky Hatton’s Hatton Promotions has established “Hatton Promotions Asia Pacific” in HK, and plans to present big events in Hong Kong, China and the Asia Pacific region on a regular basis. This event is billed as “The Road to Glory” and promises to be of the biggest boxing events ever in Hong Kong.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
