Universum Gym closing

Universum is planning to move to a new training facility in the summer, closing down the famous “Universum Gym” on Walddörferstraße in Hamburg where many world champions have trained. “Lately there have been too many defeats for our boxers,” said promoter Klaus-Peter Kohl. “We must create more professional training facilities for our athletes so that they can do up-to-date training. Our heart bleeds, but rebuilding the old gym would be too big of an investment. We’re considering several possibilities and will make a decision on the best possible new location.”
