Junior welterweight Juan Urango (21-1-1, 16 KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over Hermann Ngoudjo (17-3, 9 KOs) to reclaim the vacant IBF world championship on Friday night at the Bell Centre in Montreal. Urango floored Ngoudjo twice in round three and pressed the action throughout to win by scores of 118-108, 120-106, 116-110. It was later announced that Urango broke Ngoudjo’s jaw in round three. Also, in a bizarre incident, for some reason the timekeeper allowed the tenth round to go on for an amazing five minutes and ten seconds.
