WBA #14 Russian heavyweight Alexander Ustinov (15-0, 13 KOs), who is currently competing under K2 East promotion, is set to fight experienced British veteran Michael Sprott (31-13, 16 KOs) on the huge June 20 card at Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds and the EBA belt owned by Ustinov will not be at stake. Towering (6’8’’) heavyweight Ustinov, 32, who was once an MMA star, has stopped his five last opponents, two of them in 2009, including previously unbeaten Ukrainian Maxim Pedyura. Sprott, 34, is coming off a lackluster performance versus Lamon Brewster this March. Ustinov-Sprott bout will be the main support bout for the heavyweight mega fight between unified IBF/WBO/IBO champion Wladimir Klitschko and WBA champion in recess Ruslan Chagaev.
