Bantamweight contender Alejandro Valdez (21-3-2, 15 KOs) scored a seventh round TKO over Genaro Camargo (24-7, 17 KOs) on Saturday night at the Explanada Tecate in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico. It was Valdez’ first fight since a second-round TKO loss against WBC champion Hozumi Hasegawa last October in Tokyo, Japan. Also flyweight star Hernán “Tyson” Márquez (23-0, 18 KOs) continued to terrorize the division as he demolished Carlos “Polllito” Bañuelos (14-2, 9 KOs) in just 2:40 of round one.
