WBA ex-champion Nikolay Valuev (50-2, 34 KOs) started this year in a cheerful mood. The first ever Russian heavyweight champion of the world was decorated with the prestigious “Peacemaker” Order to the second degree by the world alliance of the same name several days ago in Moscow, according to his official web portal. Another famous boxer, Alexander Lebzyak (2000 Sydney gold medalist in the light heavyweight division and former national amateur team head coach), was also honored with the same award. As the laureate of the Order, Valuev will automatically be installed as the citizen of the world. The Peacemaker alliance unites a number of outstanding persons from different countries of the Earth, who are fighting for tolerance, education standards, humanity, and its cultural sportive and scientific development as well as for high living standards all around the world.
