Vargas retains WBC Youth belt

Super bantamweight Rey Vargas (17-1, 15 KOs) retained his WBC Youth super bantamweight belt with a ten round unanimous decision over Ernie Sanchez (15-4, 5 KOs) on Saturday night at the Gimnasio Municipal de Chihuahua in Chihuahua, Mexico. Scores were 99-91, 100-90, 100-90.

2008 Olympian super bantamweight Arturo “Rey” Santos (16-3, 5 KOs) outpointed Jesus Acosta (14-2-2, 10 KOs) over ten. Scores were 97-90, 97-92 and 97-92.

WBC #15 middleweight Marco “Dorado” Reyes (30-1, 23 KOs) stopped Isaac Mendez (14-13, 12 KOs) in round three.

Welterweight prospect Jose “Piston” Lopez (21-3-1) broke the jaw of previously unbeaten Carlos “Gavilan” Martinez (10-1, 9 KOs) in a bout that need after six rounds.
