A source has informed Fightnews.com about that the WBA interim super featherweight title fight between former WBA champ Bryan “Tiquito” Vasquez and Rene “Super Chirizo” Gonzalez will be held in Costa Rica and is no longer in Mexico as had been initially planned. Vasquez-Gonzalez, originally scheduled for July 20, was postponed to August 10. Now there is talk about a possible date in September at a WBA “Knockout Drugs” event in Costa Rica. Vasquez (31-1, 17 KOs) fought last Saturday getting a three round knockout against journeyman Eugenio Lopez in Liberia, Costa Rica.
