Vazquez retains IBF lightweight title

IBF lightweight champion Miguel “Titere” Vazquez (30-3, 13 KOs) retained his title with a twelve round unanimous decision over Ameth Diaz (30-11, 21 KOs) on Saturday night at the Coliseo Olímpico de la Universidad de Guadalajara. Vazquez was in command all the way, as reflected by the scores of 120-107, 120-107 and 119-108.

In other results, welterweight Daniel “Galeno” Sandoval (24-2, 24 KOs) scored a second round KO over Juan Jesus “Burbu” Rivera. Super lightweight Ricardo “Dinamita¨ Álvarez bombed out Adrian Rodríguez in round one. Hot female mini-flyweight prospect “Princesa Tapatía” Joselyn Arroyo shut out Salma “Terrible” Canales over six.
