Australian cruiserweight Dominic Vea (13-2, 10 KOs) captured the vacant Commonwealth title when he was awarded a twelve round majority decision over Oscar Siale (12-5, 4 KOs) of New Zealand at the Panthers Leagues club, Penrith, NSW, Australia on Thursday. Vea was staggered in round one and cut on the nose – his face a mask of blood for the remainder of the contest that seen both boxers dazed battered continually. The doctor inspected the cuts on Vea in round five but allowed to the contest to continue. At the conclusion both boxers were given a standing ovation by the fans in attendance. Scores were Charlie Lucas 116-113, Trevor Christian 114-114, Des Bloyd 115-113.
Light heavyweight Josh “Chainsaw” Clenshaw (29-17,14 KOs) clashed with hot prospect Leroy Brown (6-1-1, 3 KOs) in a crowd pleasing scheduled eight round bout. Brown was dropped in round two by a right hand power shot but came back to finish the round…Clenshaw dropped Brown twice in round six and referee Charlie Lucas crowned Chainsaw at 2.36.Clenshaw is a former Australian middleweight champion who has featured in classic bouts during his career with former world rated Nader Hamdan and Daniel Dawson.
World class light middleweight Robert Medley (29-3, 11 KOs) stopped former Australian champion Gary Comer (20-10-1, 7 KOs) in round five..Southpaw Comer had no answer for the accurate left jab from Medley. Comer absorbed a lot of punishment and the referee Brian McMahon had the doctor inspect a cut over Comer’s eye in round four but it was ruled okay to continue. At 1.13 of round five the referee saved Comer from further punishment..Medley said. ” Ryan Waters said he is the best light middleweigh in Australia. ” ” I will fight him for nothing I am that confident of winning.” Medley’s only Losses are to world champions Anthony Mundine and Isaac Hlatswayo
Super middleweight Tim Kanofski (8-1) and George Xerras (4-0, 2 KOs) punched non stop in all six rounds and at the conclusion scores were 58-56,58-56,58-57 in favor of Kanofski

Heavyweight Scott Lewis(3-4,1KO) 220lbs slugged it out with Bob Gasio (11-14,3KO) 233 lbs from New Zealand iin all four rounds to win by scores of 40-36, 40-36, 40-36
