Unbeaten featherweight Jayson “La Maravilla” Vélez (7-0, 7 KOs) needed just 1:03 to demolish Javier Ramos in the main bout of “Boxeo Boricua in Caguas” on Friday night. It was the second edition of the event organized by Promociones Miguel Cotto & H2 Entertainment. “Even though my opponent had great reach, when I saw a chance, immediately I went for the KO,” said Velez, who was grateful for all the support from the fans. The twenty-year-old fighter will be again in the ring on March 24th in the next ‘Boxeo Boricua en Caguas’ card. In the co-feature, welterweight Wilfredo “Papín” Negrón won a unanimous decision by scores of 77-74 over Carlos Peña.
