Veteran super bantamweights clash in “Locked ‘n Loaded”

Thompson Boxing Promotions returns to the ring with the fan favorite “Locked ‘n Loaded” series Friday, October 18th at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, Calif.

The main event features the fleet-footed sharpshooter Christopher Martin (27-2-3, 9 KOs) of San Diego against the hardnosed warrior Enrique Quevedo (14-6-1, 9 KOs) of Los Angeles in a super bantamweight eight-rounder. The co-feature, pits volume boxer-puncher Juan Reyes (9-1-2, 1 KO) of Riverside, Calif. against Los Angeles-native Daniel Roman (8-1-1, 3 KOs) in an eight round super bantamweight contest.

Martin hopes to avenge an early draw in his career that occurred at the hands of Quevedo’s twin brother, Daniel.

“I know in my mind I won that fight,” said Martin. “It’s been six years since my fight against Daniel, but I haven’t forgotten. Beating a Quevedo is something that’s been on my mind for quite some time.”

“Martin is one of the more interesting fighters on our roster,” said Alex Camponovo, matchmaker for Thompson Boxing. “He knows how to use every square inch of the ring and he can very quickly figure out an opposing fighter’s game plan. These skills will come in handy against Quevedo because he is tough as nails.”

Also in action is hard-hitting bantamweight Carlos Carlson (9-0, 6 KOs) of Tijuana, Mex. who battles his hometown rival Guadalupe Barrera (5-1-3, 2 KOs) in a bout scheduled for six rounds.

Junior welterweight Israel Arellano (6-1, 5 KOs) of San Diego – who recently signed with Thompson Boxing – will be featured in a six-rounder against an opponent to be named.

The undercard also showcases hard-hitting junior middleweight Joshua Conley (7-0, 6 KOs) of San Bernardino, Calif. going toe-to-toe with Juan Carlos Rojas (5-6, 4 KOs) of Saltillo, Mex.

Additionally, featherweight Erick Ituarte (5-0-1, 1 KO) of Santa Ana, Calif. will fight an opponent to be named in a scheduled four rounder and heavyweight Justin Goslee (2-0, 2 KOs) of Los Angeles encounters an opponent during a four rounder.

Tickets are $100, $60 or $40 and can be purchased by calling (714) 935-0900 or visit Doors open at 6:30p and the first bell rings at 7:45p. The Doubletree Hotel is located at 222 N. Vineyard Drive in Ontario (909.937.0900).
