Fresh off his very impressive 4th-round stoppage win over former WBA welterweight champ Vyacheslav Senchenko, unbeaten Kell Brook has wasted no time in calling out some big names. Brook, now 31-0(21) told Sky Sports that he wants “the massive fights.”
“I’ve arrived,” a triumphant Brook stated. “I want [Adrien] Broner. I want [Amir] Khan. I want the massive fights. I don’t want to leave boxing without being in with the top guys in my division. I’m excited about all the possible opponents. We have history with Devon [Alexander]. The Khan talk has been going on a while and this new kid, Broner, who talks trash and pretends to be something he isn’t, he can also get it.”
Three times Brook saw his shot at IBF welterweight boss Alexander fall through and now he is aiming to face Alexander or Shawn Porter, who meet on November 30th. A Khan-Brook fight would be a huge deal in the U.K, while Brook would arguably be Broner’s toughest test so far in “The Problem’s” career.
Meanwhile, Brook says last night’s win over Senchenko is his best yet but that there is more to come.
“It has to be my best win,” he said. “I’m better than ever. I think I made a statement here. I’m a force to be reckoned with. I got revenge on the guy who beat [Ricky] Hatton last time round. I’m happy all round.”
