On Saturday Miguel Cotto Promotions together with Hector Soto’s H2 Entertainment will present a card billed as “ON FIRE: Boxeo Boricua in Caguas” at the Roger Mendoza Coliseum in Caguas, Puerto Rico. In the main event, undefeated bantamweight Jonathan “Pitbull” Vidal (16-0, 8 KOs) goes against hard hitting Josean “El Tren” Figueroa (8-2-1, 7 KOs) in a 10 round bout for the vacant WBC FECARBOX title. “I’ve been training hard for this fight, I can say I am ready for Figueroa. I know him very well but I will win this coming Saturday” said a confident Vidal.
The co-main will be a war in the strawweight division as undefeated Janiel Rivera (9-0-2, 5 KOs) will collide against ring veteran Omar “El Pastor” Soto in a eight round fight for the vacant WBC FECARBOX strawweight title. “This is the fight that I’ve been waiting. Pastor Soto is a veteran but I believe in my skills and will defeat him to place the FECARBOX belt around my waist,” Rivera said.
“We have eight fight very well matched for Saturday night. We have a great show for the fans in Puerto Rico, the main-events will be very exciting fights to watch,” stated promoter and businessman Hector Soto. “ON FIRE: Boxeo Boricua in Caguas” will be transmitted by Telefutura as part of their famous “Solo Boxeo Tecate” series.
