Video: Felix Sturm – The Comeback

On December 7, 2013 Felix Sturm (35) wrote German boxing history as he became the first and only four-time world champion the country has ever produced. At the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart he dropped defending IBF World Middleweight Champion Darren Barker – who was favored by the sportsbooks – twice en route to a brilliant second round TKO victory. In honor of this occasion, Sturm Box-Promotion GmbH has released a four-minute short film on YouTube about the preparation of what was to become the biggest victory of Felix Sturm’s long and storied career. The film was made by Victor Filimonov.

    Help Support Fightnews.com®

For 18 years, Fightnews.com® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
