Scores were 118-110, 117-112, 117-111. Iribe broke his right hand early in the fight.

In the co-feature, world ranked bantamweight AJ Banal (20-1-1, 15 KOs) scored a unanimous ten round decision over Jose Angel Beranza (32-15-2, 25 KOs). The judges scores’ were 99-92, 98-91 and 98-92.

In a war, junior welterweight Dennis Laurente (31-3-5, 16 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over former world title challenger Zaid “El Exterminador” Zavaleta (18-5-2, 11 KOs). The scores of 100-90, 100-90 and 99-91 did not reflect the competitiveness of the fight.

Super welterweight Alfonso Gomez (20-4-2, 10 KOs) of “Contender: Season One” fame needed just 61 seconds to demolish Raul Munoz (20-13-1, 15 KOs) in the very first round of a scheduled ten. Munoz was on the deck twice. Gomez is now headed toward a showdown with Jesus Soto-Karass on the November 14 Pacquiao-Cotto card.
