Vitali Klitschko turns down job offer, demands early presidential elections

In an attempt to broker a deal to halt violent protests and political unrest in the country, Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych met with opposition leaders and offered former heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko a job as Vice Prime Minister, responsible for humanitarian issues. But Klitschko, who heads the UDAR Party and has declared his intention to run against Yanukovych for president, rejected the offer and instead demanded that the Urkrainian presidential elections be moved from 2015 to later this year.
