Rex Wao Singwancha (7-0,6 KOs) successfully grabbed the WBC ABCO interim 122lb title as he stopped Danilo Gabisay (reportedly 4-1) on Saturday night at La Trinidad Municipal Gym in Benguet, Philippines. The source reported that Wao survived from a knockdown in round one to aggressively attack Gabisay with flurry of strong and heavier punches on the head and body, finally forcing referee Virgilio Garcia to stop the fight at 1:47 of round two.

In other action, ABCO continental lightfly title holder Jay-ar Estremos Singwancha (10-5,4 KOs) scored a fourth round TKO over Arjet Caballes in an eight round non-title bout. Remuel Obidos (8-3-1,3KOs) destroyed Jessie Caballes in the opening round. And Roy Velarde won a four round unanimous decision over Keroven Saclit on their debut.
This event was promoted by Brico Santig and Naris Singhawungcha of Highland-Naris Boxing Promotion.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
