World rated junior middleweight Ryan Waters (16-2-1, 10 KOs) stopped Shannon McMahon (16-4-1, 6 KOs) at the end of round eight at the Cronulla Leagues Club in Cronulla, NSW, Australia on Friday. The aggressive WBO #11 Waters was in control of most of the round and slowly chopped down his opponent. The ringside doctor ruled the Melbourne boxer unfit to continue at the conclusion of round eight. Waters was defending the WBO Oriental title. World class Grange Gym 154 pounder, Robert Medley (24-2), is chasing a bout with Waters. Medley’s manager Bill Treacy said. “We are confident that Medley will defeat Ryan Waters and are hopeful he will accept the challenge. World rated WBA #3 and IBF #13 Daniel Dawson is also on our radar.” Promoter: Left Hook Promotions. Matchmaker: Pat Kennedy.
