WBA VP Gilberto Mendoza explains to the media about the decision on Celestino Caballero’s next mandatory defense. Mendoza declared that the Championship Committee, according to article D12 of the WBA rules, has the right to extend the deadline previously stated on a purse bid ceremony. In the press conference held in WBA headquarters in Panama City, Panama, Mendoza confirmed that WBA has not received contracts from Sampson Boxing for a new date for Caballero vs Mikey Garcia, nor a reconsideration request from Caballero.
