The WBA Directory meeting kicked off Thursday in Panama City. WBA President Gilberto Mendoza presided over more than 20 WBA executives. The two-day meeting will review rules and special cases in addition to the reports of the various committees.
In the first part of the day was reviewing the findings and decisions from the 2012 WBA Convention in Jakarta. Later various committees gave different reports

Africa representative Stanley Christodoulou spoke of the possibility of staging two world title fights and increased activity in countries such as Ghana, Namibia and Tanzania. He also said that he’s currently working on the formation of a team of officials in the region.
NABA representative George Martinez, summed up the activity of the last few months of last year with a forecast for 2013, which he says has gone beyond expectations.
European representative Mariana Borisova explained the difference between the continental and intercontinental belts. The continental title is for Europeans only, while the intercontinental title is between Europeans and fighters from other continents”.
Similarly, the intercontinental are those who have been most active in the region with 15 bouts, including scheduled and performed.
They explained that it is necessary to emphasize the difference, and be clear that the WBA recognizes the importance of Europe in boxing.
Fedelatin representative Aurelio Fiengo discussed activity for regional titles and sub-regional titles in the region.
