WBA dumps Mikey Garcia; Walters new mandatory

The WBA Championships Committee has named unbeaten Jamaican featherweight Nicholas Walters as new mandatory challenger for WBA featherweight champion Celestino “Pelenchin” Caballero. Representatives of both fighters have until September 2 to reach an agreement or a purse bid will be called. During this negotiating period, neither fighter can fight or sign an agreement for another fight.
