The WBA World Championships Committee has approved the grudge match between British heavyweights David Haye and Derek Chisora for the WBA Intercontinental Championship to be held July 14 in London. “The fight between Haye and Chisora has the WBA approval. The WBA Intercontinental title is in dispute and officially approved,” said Gilberto Mendoza Jr., WBA Executive Vice President.
The bout was condemned by the WBC, EBU and BBBofC after the two fighters engaged in a brawl at the press conference following the recent Klitschko-Chisora fight.
