WBA postpones purse bid

The WBA has determined to defer for thirty days the purse bid for the cruiserweight champion Guillermo Jones and Russian challenger Valery Brudov. The purse bid was scheduled to take place on December 21 at WBA Headquarters in Panama City. Apparently representatives of both boxers requested an extension. Jones won the title in September 2008 and has yet to defend it.
