Today it was reported that the WBA Championship Committee has rejected the request WBA Panamanian featheweight world champion Celestino “Pelenchin” Caballero to reconsider additional time given to Sampson Promotions to promote a mandatory fight with Mikey Garcia. According to the WBA: Boxers and promoters are required to know and be familiar with the WBA rules, including purse bids, appeals and reviews. According to WBA regulations C.14 and D.12, Caballero’s request was denied.
