Things went smoothly at Thursday’s press conference in advance of Saturday’s boxing card billed as “La Paz on Fire” at the Estadio Arturo C. Nahl in La Paz, Baja California Sur. The main event will be the defense of WBA interim bantamweight world champion Hugo “Cuatito” Ruiz against challenger Jean Sampson. Also in action is WBA female flyweight titleholder Arely “Machine Gun” Muciño defending against Ana “Polla” Fernandez. Also in action is lightweight prospect Abdiel “Mortero” Ramirez fighting for the vacant WBA Fedelatin title against René “Chirizo” Gonzalez. The event presented by Promociones del Pueblo.
