WBC #1 Fragomeni wins, on target for Wlodarczyk

WBC cruiserweight mandatory challenger Giacobbe Fragomeni (31-3-2, 12 KOs) won an eight round unanimous decision over Croatian Toni Visic (8-12-1, 2 KOs) on Saturday night at in Ferrara, Italy. Fragomeni dropped Visic in round one, but Visic survived the round and managed to go the route. On August 2 in Mexico City a purse bid is scheduled for the third fight between Fragomeni and WBC champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk.

In the main event, Damian Bruzzese (11-0, 4 KOs) scored a seventh round TKO over Francesco Versaci (18-3, 5 KOs) to claim the vacant Italian cruiserweight championship. Also, unbeaten welterweight Alessandro Caccia (9-0, 5 KOs) won by third round TKO over Almin Kovacevic (12-16-2, 4 KOs). The card was promoted by OPI 2000 (Salvatore and Christian Cherchi).
