WBC convention buildup

The 47th annual WBC convention will commence this weekend in Jeju Island, South Korea, running from November 1 -7, 2009. Top stars such as Andre Dirrell, welterweight champion Andre Berto, super bantamweight champion Toshiaki Nishioka, bantamweight champion Hozumi Hasegawa, former straw weight champion Hideyuka Ohashi from Japan, super Flyweight champion Ana Marie Torres will attend. Also, all former WBC champions from Korea are expected to be on hand such as legends Jung Koo Chang and Sun Kil Moon. Promoters committed to attend include, but are not limited to: Gary Shaw, Dan Goosen, Akihiko Honda, Universum, OPI 2001, Thompson Boxing, DiBella Entertainment, Fernando Beltran, K2 Promotions, Philippe Fondu, Andrew Wasileski and others from Japan, Korea and Thailand. All in all, over 500 delegates from 90 countries are committed to attend.
