The WBC announced the following officials for the fight between Edwin Valero and Antonio Pitalua on April 4th at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas. The referee is Laurence Cole (Texas). Judges are Ken Morita (Japan), Juergen Langos (Germany) and Gale Van Hoy (Texas). On Thursday, Valero looked very sharp at a public training session at the Urbina Westside Boxing Gym in Los Angeles. Valero will travel the next Monday to Austin with his trainer Robert Alcazar and the rest of the team. Valero-Pitalua is the main event on Golden Boy Promotions’ “Light Lightning” pay-per-view card.
