WBC webcast tonight

WBCBoxing.tv will present a free international boxing webcast tonight at 10PM ET/7PM PT (not available in Mexico). In the main event – scheduled for 12 rounds at Auditorio Teopanzolco in Cuernavaca, Morelos, México – Central American Boxing Federation (FECARBOX) flyweight champion Edgar “Power” Jimenez, 11-4-1 with 8 knockouts, of Mexico City, will make his first defense of the title against Omar “Lobito” Soto, 19-7-2 with 13 knockouts, also of Mexico City.

Jimenez, currently ranked #29 by the WBC, won the vacant title in September, 2010, by fifth-round TKO against Juan Esquer in Ciudad Neza, and followed that fight with first-round TKO win in a nontitle title fight in October.

Soto is coming off a strong performance in his last fight in July, 2010 – a close 10-round split decision loss against former WBC light flyweight world champion Brian Viloria in Manila, Philippines, and was 5-2-1 in his eight previous fights.

Other selected fights will be shown on the webcast.

The fights will be televised live in Mexico on Cadena Tres-Channel 28 at 9:00 P.M. (21:00 hrs) Central Time.

WBCBoxing.tv webcasts are also available for viewing at any time in the archives on both WBCBoxing.tv and Suljos.tv. On the player at the bottom of the video, select the “Free On Demand” button to see the archived choices.
