The WBC Board of Governors will meet on May 28-29 in Mexico City, to review the organization of the first Professional Boxing World Cup. The 165 affiliated countries in the World Boxing Council will be represented during the World Cup by champions of each federation inside eight different weight divisions. According to the WBC, World Cup will be broadcast to the whole world and it will be promoted by the same professional promoters currently working with the WBC.
