“This is a tough fight,” said promoter Bobby Hitz. “You can throw out the record for Demetrice. He comes to fight and he has pulled off a couple of upsets over undefeated fighters.”
In his last fight King TKO’ed in two rounds hot prospect Bowie Tupou (then 18-0). In July 2007, King knocked out heavyweight hopeful Bermane Stiverne (then 12-0) in four rounds.
“Demetrice may have 17 losses, but 15 of his wins have ended in knockouts,” commented Hitz. “He has only been stopped once and that was to Shannon Briggs five years ago!”
“I told Fres that Demetrice is here to knock him out,” continued Hitz. “Fres told me not to worry that he knows what to do. Fres has fought for the championship twice and he knows that he needs to win big so he can stay on top!”
“It is going to be a great night. Everybody is embracing Buster Douglas like he beat Mike Tyson yesterday!”
“Fight Night at the Horseshoe” is promoted by Bobby Hitz of Hitz Boxing. The doors open at 6p and the first bell is at 7p. A limited amount of tickets are still available at the box office 219-473-6060.
