White staying busy

By Johnny B’

Junior welterweight Jermaine White (17-4, 9 KOs) now fighting out of Las Vegas, is prepared for two fights in two months. White is scheduled to be the main event on Saturday at the Orbit Room in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is scheduled to be in a ten round bout with an opponent who will soon be announced pending a contract signing. One of the main supporting bouts on that card will feature undefeated super featherweight Rafael Hernandez (5-0) who likewise awaits the announcement of his opposition.

White then already has a March 27th main event bout scheduled against undefeated Vernon Paris (19-0) at the Cobo Arena in Detroit. The co-feature on that card will be middleweight Ronald Hearns (23-1 18 KOs), son of the legendary Tommy “Hit Man” Hearns.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
