Wilfredo Gomez Hospitalized in P.R.

Puerto Rican ring legend Wilfredo Gomez is in critical but stable condition in Auxilio Mutuo hospital in San Juan after suffering respiratory failure on Tuesday evening. Gomez was admitted after he suffered an infection affecting his breathing. Gomez also suffers from obstructive sleep apnea. Wilfredo had just been admitted during the weekend but had been discharged. We only know that Gomez has a respiratory infection, which led to respiratory failure. The next 72 hours will be crucial for his recovery. The former three-division world champion is 56 years of age.
