Former IBF light heavyweight champion Clinton Woods (42-4-1, 24 KOs) got back into the world title picture with a twelve round unanimous decision over ‘The Kosovo Kid’ Elvir Muriqi (35-5, 22 KOs) on Saturday night at the famous Hotel De France in Jersey, Channel Islands, England. Scores were 117-111 119-110 117-111. The bout was an official IBF eliminator for the #2 ranking in the light heavyweight division. In his previous fight, Woods lost the IBF world title in a one-sided bout against Antonio Tarver 10 months ago.
