Former WBO super bantamweight champion Wilfredo ‘Papito’ Vazquez (21-2-1, 18 KOs) says that on August 4 he hopes to face the experienced two-time world title holder Rafael Marquez (41-7, 37 KOs) in an event to be held in Puerto Rico. Vazquez, whose two losses are to Jorge ‘Travieso’ Arce and Nonito Donaire, said his promoter Tutico Zabala, President of All Star Boxing, informed him of the date and told him to prepare for that clash, which could lead to another title shot if he wins. The bout could be staged at the Coliseo Rubén Rodríguez in Bayamon.
