In his pro debut, 2008 U.S. Oympian super flyweight Luis Yanez (1-0) won a four-round majority decision over Julio Valdez (3-3) in the main event at the American Airlines Center in Dallas,Texas. Scores were 40-36, 39-37, 38-38.

Junior welterweight Hector Beltran (12-1-1) dropped Gilbert Salinas (12-11-4) in round seven and went on to an eight rounder by scores of 80-71 on all cards.

In the fight of the night, welterweight Jesse Larra (16-1-1) won a slugfest against Bobby Joe Valdez (9-6-2). The end came with Larra producing a KO at 1:54 round six.
