IBF #8 lightweight Yodsanan 3K Battery Sor Nanthachai (58-3-1, 47 KOs) was impressive in stopping Indonesian Jonathan Simamora (21-8-4, 8 KOs) in three rounds in Bangkok, Thailand on Thursday. Nanthachai controlled the contest as he scored with accurate head and body shots in round one and two. In round three, Nanthachai connected with a barrage of punches that dropped the import for the full ten count. Nanthachldai is a former WBA jnr lightweight champion and now has his sights on the IBF 135 pound championship.
He is managed by Australian Daniel Potter. “Yodsanan can defeat any lightweight in the world in my opinion and hopefully will get a title shot in the next eighteen months,” said Potter.
IBF #12 lightweight Saddam Kietyongyuth (18-0, 14 KOs) dropped Indonesian Michael Speed Sigarlaki (9-5-2, 9 KOs) three times in round two and referee Yongsak Na songkla crowned the Thai. Kietyongyuth has world class power.
Jr lightweight Lainmangkon Chutwana (2-0) won a six round decision over Dodie Boy Agrabio (10-6-2, 3 KOs) in action bout. Jr welterweight Ariel Barotilio (3-0-1) of the Philippines came from behind to win rounds five and six to salvage a draw against Petchjaj Nidafactory (0-0-1) in all action contest.
