Yorgey camp petitions WBO

Representatives of junior middleweight contender Harry Joe Yorgey (22-0-1, 10 KOs) have petitioned the WBO to sanction Yorgey’s November 7 fight against Alfredo Angulo (16-1, 13 KOs) as an interim 154-pound world title bout. That belt is currently held by Paul Williams, who will fight on December 5, possibly against WBC champion Sergio Martinez. Yorgey-Angulo was originally approved as a world title eliminator.
