The recent update we’ve received on fallen warrior Z Gorres is nothing less than amazing. Happily the brain surgery of Z has not affected his memory. He recognizes everyone who visits him in the hospital. He is no longer on the respirator, is now eating solid food and has started to talk albeit in whispers. Now it’s only his left side that still needs to recover fully. He can now move his left arm but very slowly so with his left leg. Among his visitors have been Wakee Salud, Boboy Fernandez, Gerry Penalosa, Rodel Mayol, cutman Miguel Diaz, Bruce Tampler, Brad Goodman, Sean Gibbons, Dan Pancher and Richie Sandoval, Cornelius “Boza” Edwards, Dr. Allan Recto and Sampson Lewkowicz. ALA Promotions President, Michael Aldeguer has been keeping in close contact with staff at University Medical Center in Las Vegas as Gorres comes closer to being discharged. Gorres suffered a subdural hematoma (blood clot in the brain) in a win over Luis Melendez on November 13 at Mandalay Bay.
