Fernando Beltran, President of Zanfer Promotions (Mexico) and Carlos Oliveira of MO Productions (Brazil) signed an agreement between both organizations with the purpose of joint promotions of boxing shows in Mexico and Brazil featuring boxers of both nations as well of other Central and South American countries.
Carlos Oliveira, who is the father of junior middleweight prospect Michael “The Brazilian Rocky” Oliveira, had this to say about the collaboration between between both boxing entities: “We are delighted at the prospect of working with Zanfer. It is important to note that in relation to us staging boxing shows in Brazil, we have been able to get the backing of TV Globo which is one of the main private television channels in the world. I believe this agreement seals a long overdue collaboration between Mexican/Central American boxing and the South American continent.”
One of the prospective shows being discussed is the possible showdown between Omar Chavez, son of Mexican boxing legend JC Chavez and Michael Oliveira. The question remains as to whether the anticipated clash beteween both junior middleweight prospects will be held in Mexico or in Brazil.
