Zanfer Year End Book

Fernando Beltran, president of Promociones Zanfer presented his company’s year-end review book that relives the shows that the renown Mexican boxing company was part of in 2010 and is further evidence of why they are considered one of the most successful boxing company in the entire world today. The digital version of the book can be seen in this link. “We have a made a commitment to the boxing fans, our boxers and our sponsors to bring the best boxing possible and I believe we did that in 2010 and will look forward to bring even better and more entreating events to everyone in 2011,” said Beltran.

The more than 200 page book was edited and design by award winning photographer Rafael Soto and his great staff at Soto Communications and the counseling of former journalist and now public relations expert, Ricardo Jimenez.

“This is our second year-end book and we are very proud of this new edition that is dedicated to the great world champions of Zanfer, and that includes the tremendous victories of Fernando “Kochulito” Montiel and Tomas “Gusano” Rojas in Japan and the great win by Giovani Segura in Puerto Rico,” said Soto.

The book has photos and facts of all the Zanfer promoted cards during 2010 in Mexico and the United States along with their mayor partner Top Rank Inc. It was a year the saw Jorge “Travieso” Arce and Humberto “Zorrita” Soto become three-time world champions.

“This book is incredible and one that every boxing fans will enjoy and is also more proof of the great job our friend and partner Fernando Beltran and his company Zanfer have done to bring back boxing in Mexico and without a doubt he puts on more championship fights then any another promoter in the world,” said Bob Arum, Top Rank’s hall of fame promoter.

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
